More of the instruments and their uses together with ways of getting those stunning photographs that we all love and admire later. Here we can see a plethora of telescopes of all shapes, sizes and designs. This also is one of my joys in life, and the picture above is my scope. It’s stuck in Australia, as it was too expensive to transport to Thailand at the time. As noted in the Astronomy Amateur page, light pollution and humidity are two key factors making it difficult to persue this expensive hobby in this location.
My telescope above, is a Parkes 10-inch H.I.T. dual mode instrument. With the quick switch of the secondary mirror, you can change between a Newtonian design or Schmitt-Cassegrain style. Never really got used like it was meant to be. Currently housed in Adelaide, South Australia, and sadly collecting dust.
