These first 51 photo’s are from a charity event in 2006. Golf this day was held at the Royal Thai Navy 9-hole course in Sattahip, not far from Pattaya. There are no refreshment stops on the course, so you ring the pro shop, and they send out your beer orders on a motor bike equipped with a side car. Class! (Actually not the first 51 because they aren’t in proper order. I’ll try and annotate somehow at a later stage when I have more time)
Golf in Pattaya is simply put, amazing. There are so many great courses all within an hour’s drive from town. There are many world class championship courses, including the Old Course at Siam Country Club where the Honda LPGA is held every February. While some of them aren’t cheap, you do get what you pay for. Of course in low season, or when you are having a pandemic, specials abound to get you in. It might be the rainy season, but usually if there is any rain, it’s normally only a short lasting shower although it is likely to be quite heavy.
BTW, did I tell you I got a hole-in-one?
